Kinky Salon is a global movement that promotes sexual liberation and creative expression. We host immersive experiences with costumes, art, dancing, and performance, as well as areas where people can be playfully sexual.
We are queer-friendly, body-positive, anti-racist, accessible, and inclusive. Creativity is the focus of the events, and sex is just one way to express yourself at a Kinky Salon. We see the liberation of sexuality as a means of personal transformation, and personal transformation as a means of cultural transformation. When you connect the dots, Kinky Salon is really about making the world a better place, one pervert at a time.
Starting with the first invitation that goes out to announce the theme a story starts to unfold. Creative participation by the guests is encouraged. The script for the night develops as participants sign up and bring their piece: a game, performance, sculpture, character, or experience created for the theme. I weave them together into a narrative that spans across multiple rooms in a non-linear experiential format. On the night all attendees are in costume. There are no passive spectators. Guests and performers interact without knowing who is part of the plan and who is just showing up and doing something creative. Some nights even I don’t know. There are erotic areas where performances and interactions are overtly sexual, including explicit sexual play between guests. The storyline reaches its peak with the cabaret. I usually play myself, not a character, to facilitate a moment of acknowledgment: Yes, this is crazy. Yes, you are amazing. Yes, I love you
